Haidy is an Egyptian national with a Bachelor in Laws from Tanta University. Haidy is a bilingual lawyer with solid experience in the area of Litigation, Banking & Finance.
Haidy has acted for banks, companies, and a range of commercial and corporate clients. In addition, Haidy regularly negotiates medium to high value settlements by representing clients from both lender as well as borrower side. Haidy’s expertise includes advising clients on bringing criminal as well as civil cases in multiple practice areas which usually includes guiding clients on the best strategy from a UAE Law perspective.
Prior to joining Abdo Rafiq & Partners, Haidy worked at a number of prominent Dubai based law firms, where she played a pivotal role in managing court procedural processes, preparing court briefs, negotiating amicable settlements, and where possible determining the best legal strategy for resolving cases before issuance of proceedings and further managed, led and monitored multiple legal projects including contract review and negotiation.
In addition to the above areas, Haidy frequently advises a large number of corporate clients on disputes brought before the UAE Courts for employment and real estate matters on behalf of employers and developers.
RECENT WORK INCLUDES
Advised a major UAE Bank with regards investment funds dispute under the UAE courts with claimed value of US$ 30M,
Advised a well-known GCC company on cross border litigation and related corporate issues,
Assisted & advised a well-known global citizenship investment consultant to successfully lodge a high value international defamation claim under the UAE Courts; and
Advised a leading UAE marine tanker operator on bunker dispute and ship arrest case brought before the UAE Courts.
Advised a global wholesale company for food products with regards to multiple disputes in the UAE Courts.
